Masters (Sports Physiotherapy)
Darren is a highly skilled physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Limerick, Ireland in 2013. He has recently completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University. The focus of the program is advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of sporting injuries. He is currently researching shoulder biomechanics and the use of screening to reduce injuries.
Darren is a qualified and experienced Pilates instructor with a rich background in sport. This allows him to tailor progressive exercise therapy specific to people of all levels and ages. He firmly believes that the key to success is to get moving early and that improving the resilience of the body is essential to withstanding the demands required by each individual.
Darren has completed extensive training in manual therapy and dry needling. These techniques are effective in providing substantial short-term relief for patients with acute and/or severe pain. He offers expertise in prognosis, treatment options and outcome probabilities through comprehensive education. This strategy gives control back to the patient over their problems.
