Clinical Pilates East Victoria Park

Physiotherapist-Led Clinical Pilates for Rehabilitation and Strength

At East Vic Park Physiotherapy, our Clinical Pilates programs are designed and supervised by experienced physiotherapists to improve strength, mobility, control and injury recovery.

Unlike general Pilates studios, our sessions are:

  • Individually assessed

  • Injury-aware

  • Rehabilitation-focused

  • Delivered in small 2:1 classes

  • Designed to complement physiotherapy treatment

We work with rehabilitation clients, individuals managing persistent pain and active people looking to build strength safely.

What Is Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is an exercise-based rehabilitation approach delivered by qualified physiotherapists. Every participant completes a one-on-one assessment to determine movement patterns, injury history and appropriate progression.

Programs are structured to improve:

  • Core strength and control

  • Postural stability

  • Joint mobility

  • Movement efficiency

  • Long-term injury resilience

Our Clinical Pilates programs integrate closely with our physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to ensure safe progression.

Who Is Clinical Pilates Suitable For?

Clinical Pilates may assist with:

  • Lower back pain

  • Neck and postural pain

  • Sporting injuries

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation

  • Hip and knee pain

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Osteopenia

  • General deconditioning

If you are unsure whether Pilates is appropriate for your condition, our physiotherapists can assess your suitability.

Small Class Model for Better Supervision

We intentionally operate a 2:1 class structure rather than large group sessions.

This allows:

  • Closer supervision

  • Exercise correction in real time

  • Individualised progression

  • Safer rehabilitation

All programs are progression-based and aligned with your rehabilitation or performance goals.

Experience in High-Performance Sport

Members of our physiotherapy team have previously worked within professional sporting environments including AFL/W, WAFL, NBL basketball, cricket and rugby programs.

This exposure to high-performance rehabilitation informs the structure of our Clinical Pilates programs, particularly for:

  • Injury rehabilitation

  • Return to sport preparation

  • Strength and conditioning support

  • Load management and progression

Our programs are designed to support both everyday rehabilitation clients and active individuals seeking performance-focused training.

Independent Pilates Studio Access

Following assessment and supervised sessions, suitable clients may access our Pilates studio independently using a prescribed program.

Independent studio access is ideal for:

  • Maintaining strength between physiotherapy sessions

  • Continuing structured rehabilitation

  • Long-term exercise consistency

Membership and multi-session options are available.
